Performance of Modified Polypropylene (PP) Sheets

Modified polypropylene (PP) sheets are made by enhancing polypropylene resin with fillers, glass fibers, flame retardants, and toughening agents, resulting in significantly improved comprehensive performance compared to pure PP. They are lightweight, non-toxic, and odorless, featuring excellent resistance to acid, alkali, and chemical solvent corrosion, as well as low water absorption and resistance to moisture-induced deformation.

After modification, the rigidity, hardness, and dimensional stability of the board are significantly improved, with enhanced impact resistance and reduced brittleness in low-temperature environments. Some glass fiber-reinforced variants exhibit higher mechanical strength and outstanding creep resistance. Its heat resistance surpasses that of conventional PP, broadening the usable temperature range. It maintains structural stability under certain high-temperature conditions while also possessing excellent electrical insulation properties.

The processing performance of the material is excellent, allowing for cutting, drilling, bending, thermoforming, and hot-melt welding, and is compatible with various post-processing techniques. Depending on the modification direction, it can also achieve flame retardancy, anti-aging, and anti-static properties, making it widely applicable in fields such as chemical corrosion-resistant equipment, food-contact containers, automotive interiors, construction formwork, and electrical insulation components, combining practicality with cost-effectiveness.
